Additional Required Qualifications:Current Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification is required. Possess proven communication skills to work cooperatively with health care team members, patients and their families in a fast-paced environment. Strong professional judgment, initiative, and effective time management skills are necessary. Ability to work with various computer programs is an asset. Your quality of work must meet departmental and organizational expectations. Demonstrated clarity in your communication, organization and consistency of ideas, both verbally and written including clinical documentation, is required. Must be a highly motivated, confident, and enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude whose work aligns with AHS Values. Able to act quickly and decisively using critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Able to utilize strong judgment by analyzing facts, considering the impact, and arriving at a sound conclusion, seeking counsel when appropriate. Strong collaboration and consultation skills. You can work independently & as a part of the team creating strong, effective interpersonal working relationships with peers and other caregivers. 2 years of experience within the last 5 years in an acute care setting. Experience in MSK assessment is a must. Knowledge of community resources.
Preferred Qualifications:Acute care experience beneficial. Experience with complex patient populations, MSK assessment, and orthopedics, preferred. Knowledge of community resources in and around Edmonton is an asset. Basic computer skills are a must; familiarity with Netcare, Outlook and other electronic medical records (Connect Care) preferred.
