Required Qualifications:

Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)

Additional Required Qualifications:

Master's or a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized occupational therapy program. Active registration in good standing with ACOT. Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks related to patient care such as facilitate patient transfers, participate and engage with children in play-based therapy that can take place at varying levels (floor, tabletop, outdoors) for sustained periods of time. Experience with standardized assessment and intervention protocols of children with complex Neuromotor diagnoses is required, including constraint induced movement therapy, bimanual therapy, splinting, infant assessment/treatment, and feeding and swallowing assessment/treatment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in pediatric inpatient as well as outpatient contexts is an asset. Experience with standardized pediatric assessments, and training in specialized pediatric assessment is preferred (e.g. AHA, HAI & VFSS). Experience in occupational therapy assessment and intervention of children with mental health challenges and/or physical and/or developmental disabilities is considered an asset. Connect Care training and proficiency is preferred.
