Successful completion of an approved NP program at a Master of Nursing level or equivalent and eligible for licensure with CARNA as a NP. Registered as a NP in one of the following categories: Family/All Ages NP: provide generalized health services across the lifespan, including newborns, infants, children, adolescents, adults, pregnant and postpartum women, and older adults. The NP is prepared as a generalist for practice that is usually community-based including but not limited to, remote areas, family practice, primary care networks, outpatient clinics, urgent care and emergency departments. The NP may serve as the primary care provider to individuals and families. Adult NP: provide care services to young, middle aged and older adults in either a generalized adult practice where they see adults with a variety of medical conditions or adults in specialty area of practice. In some instances older adolescent care may be provide by an adult practitioner, when the adolescent’s developmental age and/or lifestyle may more closely approximate that of an adult. Practice settings include acute and long-term care as well as community setting. The NP has in-depth knowledge of adult acute and chronic illness and can work with complex clients.
Additional Required Qualifications:
3 - 5 years surgical nursing experience required. Current BCLS required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a surgical NP preferred. Vascular surgery experience preferred. Strong organizational, communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary team environment. Able to adapt and set multiple priorities in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
