Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a protected title within all jurisdictions of Canada, and in Alberta, requires Registration with CRNA on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar including Nurse Practitioner licensure; Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program and a minimum of Master’s degree academic preparation; Successful completion of a Baccalaureate of Nursing degree and minimum required hours of RN practice. In addition, the NP must: Participate in and maintain additional education and/or certifications specific to area of practice. Complete AHS Annual Requirements (as per MyLearningLink) and basic healthcare provider CPR.
Additional Required Qualifications:
A keen, self-learner willing to work as a member of the Plastic Surgery team. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Strong team player with the proven ability to diffuse difficult situations. Strong computer skills required, with a preference to knowledge of SCM and/or Connect Care. Willingness to work weekends as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Plastic Surgery and NP experience is an asset, but not necessary for application.
