Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, with a minimum of a Master's degree. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Nurse practitioner degree in the neonatology specialty. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for ensuring that his/her registration is current and valid. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Provider. Commitment to Alberta Health Services Vision, Mission, Core Values and Goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working with surgical neonates. Previous experience working with neonates requiring neurological critical care interventions. Microsoft Office Suite knowledge. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider (PALS). Experience with the development and/or implementation of evidence-based practice. Experience with program development. Quality Improvement certification (i.e. Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt or equivalent).
