Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program and a minimum of master's degree. Registration with CRNA on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

The Spine Nurse Practitioner, an advanced practice nurse (APN) is required to maintain competency in 4 domains: Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research. The successful candidate must have completed master's degree in nursing with a focus on Advanced Clinical Practice; a minimum of 5 years (full time) of related experience as a registered nurse in acute care; strong written and verbal communication, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills; as well as the ability to self-direct the adaptation and evaluation of the role.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of EPIC Connect Care, Alberta NetCare, and IMPAX viewer is ideal. ACLS and TNCC would be an asset. Experience working with the spine patient population will be considered an asset.
