Your Opportunity:

Make a difference in the lives of Albertans by joining the Department of Orthopedics at the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH). The Department of Orthopedics supports over 100 beds across two buildings at the RAH, the Orthopedic Surgery Centre (OSC) & the Active Treatment Centre (ATC). The OSC is a specialized stand-alone facility that provides care to hip, knee, and shoulder arthroplasty patients, supporting 56 beds and 4 operating rooms. These operating rooms are “smart suites” equipped with navigation to help provide the most accurate positioning of implants during surgery. The ATC primarily provides service to elective and non-elective orthopedic patients. We are looking for an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our collaborative care team, providing medical care to orthopedic patients. Our units provide care to patients facing orthopedic health challenges through a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach including Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Health Care Aides, Clinical Nurse Educators, Allied health professionals, fellows, physicians as well as patients and their families. All disciplines work with patients and their families to support a holistic care plan thus enhancing the patient’s journey to wellness. The Nurse Practitioner is a self-directed Advanced Practice Nurse and reports to the Orthopedic Surgery Centre (OSC) Patient Care Manager (PCM).
