Required Qualifications:

Master of Nursing or equivalent graduate degree with a focus on advanced clinical nursing practice in pediatric respirology. A minimum of 3-5 years of pediatric and/or critical care clinical experience as a registered nurse or nurse practitioner is required. Current and valid registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) and entered on the NP Roster of the CRNA under the Health Professions Act. Current Basic Life Support Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification is required.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team. Self-directed with the ability to work in a patient and family centered, multidisciplinary team environment. Demonstrated leadership ability. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong clinical skills. Excellent critical thinking.


Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner program in a child health stream. Experience with pediatric respirology patient population. Connect Care experience is required. Computer experience (MS Office, Netcare) is an asset. PALS/ACLS certification is an asset.
