Successful completion of a recognized Nurse Practitioner program at a master’s level. Current registration with CARNA as a Nurse Practitioner, Family All-Ages. Current NRP, ACLS and BLS certifications are required. Completion of one or more of: Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Trauma Nurse Core Course, or other advanced clinical nursing skills preferred. Additional training in CTAS scoring, ECG, lab and other diagnostic results preferred. Recent experiences working in an Emergency/Acute Care setting. Computer literacy skills mandatory (i.e. Connect Care, NetCare, etc.). Must understand and practice within full scope of their practice in an interdisciplinary team environment.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Must be able to support flexible work schedule as we continue to grow and develop our NP program. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enable working directly with patients and their family members. Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team environment. Ability to function independently. Excel at working in a dynamic fast paced environment. Work well under pressure and stressful situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Application and knowledge of current research; with ongoing interest in research.
