Completion of a Master’s Degree in Nursing – Nurse Practitioner Program (Adult). Active or eligible for registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years acute care cardiology experience as a RN within the last 7 years. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS).
Preferred Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner experience in cardiology. Experience working with congenital heart disease patients within the last 5 years. Experience with the development and/or implementation of evidence based practice. Experience with program development. AHS AIW and/or AHS PROSCI certification (or equivalent). Completion of leadership related courses within last 3 years. Progressive nursing leadership experience within last 3 years. CCN(C) Certification. Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.
