Completion of diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
Additional Required Qualifications:Successful completion of registry exam in Nuclear Medicine Technology. Member in good standing and current registration/eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Continuing Education Courses in CT required, candidates must complete CT Certificate within 3 years of date of hire if not already completed.) I.V. Certification. General knowledge of computers. Ability to work confidently, independently and within collaborative partnerships/teams. Strong organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaison with various professionals. Perception, initiative, accountability, good judgment and concern for detail and accuracy. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff, and physicians. Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations. Ability to effectively communicate in English required. Practices effective radiation protection, infection control and safety techniques as applicable. BCLS certification.
