Your Opportunity:

The position will be in Nuclear Medicine and is responsible for providing and performing the highest quality service possible, to the clients of Diagnostic Imaging Services. This is done in an effective, efficient, and safe manner.

Description:

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology. As a NMT I, you will perform Nuclear Medicine procedures as described in the department procedure manual using a wide range of equipment such as gamma cameras, computers, ECG monitors, cardiac stress equipment, and radiation safety devices.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Ability to communicate in English is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in appropriate imaging modality and general knowledge of computers. Good organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to cooperate, work independently and promote good teamwork. Perception, initiative, good judgment, and concern for detail and accuracy. Demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff, and physicians. Ability to work under pressure and in emergencies.
