Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Resonance Imaging (MRI) Program required or completion of certificate from an accredited MRI Technologist program plus a diploma from an accredited Program in Medical Radiology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound), Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy. Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

The incumbent will be evaluated on the above with respect to the following: Excellence in the performance of technical functions. Evidence of attention to details of the work environment. Maintenance of positive, professional relationships within the organization as well as in AHS.Evidence of team and individual development. Registration: Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists. Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists Education: Graduation from an approved MRI Technologist program. CAMRT certified in MRI or registry eligible. Ability to plan, schedule and complete assignments in coordination with medical staff and in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and priorities. Ability to analyze and evaluate own work, and to implement corrective measures as required. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Evidence of care and understanding in communications with patients. Evidence of physical ability, coordination and dexterity to operate equipment. Reviewing requisitions and patient histories to identify physicians’ requirements and to organize workload. Scheduling appointments in coordination with office supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in magnetic resonance imaging an asset. Extensive experience in various specialized diagnostic imaging modalities preferred. Computer training and literacy is preferred. Evidence of ongoing professional development and educational courses preferred Leadership and human resources education preferred
