Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.

Additional Required Qualifications:

In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay. This role requires travel to rural and remote communities to provide/facilitate mental health promoting cultural care/services to Indigenous people. A valid class V driver's license required. Completion of one of the following programs may be considered: a) Bachelor of Social Work including training and experience in mental health assessment and counselling, and with individual or under supervision authorization to perform restricted psychosocial interventions; b) Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy or a related master’s degree including training in mental health assessment and provision of counselling/psychotherapy; c) Diploma or bachelor’s degree in nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of counselling/psychotherapy. Registration with one of the following regulatory colleges: ACOT, ACSW, CAP, CLPNA, CRNA or CRPNA is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in Addiction and Mental Health or equivalent services is preferred.
