Completion of masters degree in Psychology; or masters degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or masters or bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or masters degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college
Additional Required Qualifications:A minimum of one year’s experience providing a full spectrum of mental health therapy services in a concurrent setting. Authorization to do mental health psychosocial intervention is required. Extensive knowledge and familiarity with a strength-based, client-centered approach. Comfortable with computers and electronic health record formats and able to type well enough to complete own clinical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:Extensive knowledge of a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, trauma recovery treatments, and motivational interviewing is preferred. Suicide Prevention, Risk Assessment and Management. Standard First Aid. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
