Completion of a master's degree in psychology; a bachelor's degree in social work incorporating education in mental health assessment, brief counseling, and crisis intervention; a master's or bachelor's degree in occupational therapy with similar educational components; a bachelor's degree in nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and brief counseling; or a bachelor's degree in psychiatric nursing. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:2 years counselling experience. Registration with a licensing body under the Health Professions Act with ability to practice Restricted Activity Psychosocial Intervention in Alberta is required. Minimum bachelor’s degree in related field.
Preferred Qualifications:Training in Single session therapy, solution focused therapy and motivational interviewing. Experience working with children, youth and families in a mental health setting.
