Completion of Grade 12. A combination of education and experience satisfactory to the employer will also be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:Mental health aide certificate (or equivalent) is required. Working knowledge of HIA and FOIPP with regards to confidentiality is required.
Preferred Qualifications:The following certifications will be assets, though training will be made available to the successful candidate as needed: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP); current non-violent crisis intervention (NCI/NVCI); mental health first aid. Recent experience (past 1-2 years) working in a mental health or hospital setting, or working with young adults, is an asset.
