Master’s degree from a recognized, and accredited post-secondary institution in a related field to population and public health (Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered). A minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare environment. A demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Required Qualifications:
A proven track record of working within a team as both a leader and a contributing member. Demonstrated ability and aptitude with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated knowledge of health promotion and population health approaches. Ability to apply population health promotion theory to program development and implementation. Ability to plan, organize and manage short and long term plans and projects and deliver client-focused results. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Ability to develop cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees and other partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ten years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare environment. Experience managing within a unionized sector including human, financial and physical resources. Strong track record in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
