A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline and/or Payroll designation of Canadian Payroll Association, Certified Payroll Manager (CPM). 5 - 6 year’s progressive senior payroll leadership experience in large and complex organizations including three years’ experience in a management role. Strong Customer Service and Communication Skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated knowledge, proficiency and experience with Payroll Processing within large organizations, where multiple terms of employment and/or collective agreements are administered. Sound knowledge and expertise in HR/Payroll Management Systems. Able to work in a fast paced, growing and challenging environment. Ability to manage change (Prosci or other accepted Change Management Certification) and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues. Demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making. Proficient in MS Office suite, including Excel and Access or other databases.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in recognized Process Improvement Methodology (ie; Lean Six Sigma, AIW, etc.) Previous experience in a healthcare environment. Previous experience working in a complex, unionized environment. PeopleSoft Payroll/HR system experience.
