Required Qualifications:

A degree from an accredited college or University in Human Resources or related discipline and/or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation. 7 years of experience leading a Shared Services organization, preferably in human resources and/or working in a large, complex unionized HR/Payroll organization. Extensive experience and working knowledge of benefits and pensions. Capable of interpreting policies and plan documents to make decisions and recommendations. Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to assess performance and provide ongoing development. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Effective verbal and written communicator with strong organizational skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing responsive, quality services. Proven ability to foster partnerships/build solid relationships to achieve organizational goals within a diverse organization. Strong analytical, problem solving, and resolution skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience with HR Information Systems, preferably PeopleSoft, is required. Proficient in using Excel to collate data, perform analysis, generate metrics and create templates.


Preferred Qualifications:

Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), Group Benefits Associate (GBA), or Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) certification preferred. Master of Business (MBA) considered an asset. Expertise in public sector HR administration, project management, business process improvement, or quality assurance.
