Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Track record of innovative leadership in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment. Graduate of a recognized program with a Baccalaureate Degree in a relevant discipline. Demonstrated experience working on initiatives with partners both internal and external to AHS. Registration with relevant professional organization recognized by the Health Professions Act in Alberta. Interpersonal skills, including ability to problem solve and initiate and implement conflict resolution process. Minimum 5 years progressive management experience with the health care industry, in an Addiction and Mental Health setting required. Excellent knowledge of Addiction treatment for complex Addiction and Mental health clients. 3 - 5 years of knowledge/skill development and experience in Addiction and Mental Health is required. Fluent in multiple collective agreements and have advanced knowledge of each discipline's roles, responsibilities and scope of practice. Demonstrated skills and experience in strategic experience, Quality Improvement, Operations Management, Human Resources Management, and Financial Management.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of the Addiction and Mental Health continuum of care. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s level preparation is preferred. Knowledge of a variety of treatment modalities across the addictions continuum.
