Diagnostic Imaging is looking for an enthusiastic Manager to provide leadership in the operation and delivery of imaging services in Lethbridge. Located at the Chinook Regional Hospital, the manager will participate collaboratively on our South Zone Management Team and Provincial Imaging Committees as necessary. The manager will participate in the development, implementation and evaluations of the imaging program's philosophy and strategic plan by collaborating with all stakeholders in the community. The Manager will initiate, implement and support new or modified approaches, practices and processes for the betterment of our people and our patients.
Description:
Reporting to the Director, Diagnostic Imaging, South Zone, the Manager is responsible for supporting the mission of AHS through effective planning and management of resources, to provide patients and their families with excellent care and imaging service. The Manager has accountability for Diagnostic Imaging in Lethbridge, and is responsible for leading professional and ancillary staff, creating and sustaining healthy work environments including radiation safety, WHS, maintaining collaborative working relationships, and facilitating the implementation of changes to structure and processes to accomplish improved outcomes in patient satisfaction, quality of care and cost containment. The Manager is responsible for identifying budget requirements (human, material, capital resources) to safely meet patient needs and balance expenditure / variance analysis. The Manager will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in order to provide leadership to Diagnostic Imaging in South Zone.

Graduate of an accredited school of a Diagnostic Imaging modality. Eligible or currently registered with applicable professional associations in Alberta. Progressive leadership experience within a complex health care organization, including experience in a supervisory or management role in Diagnostic Imaging operations. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development, including leadership experience. Demonstrates optimism and enthusiasm about the program with commitment to continuous quality improvement. Demonstrates managerial competencies that include excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, problem solving, conflict resolution, critical and analytical thinking, interpersonal and group management skills, change management and project management.

Proven ability to foster partnerships and achieve organizational goals within an organization and ideally manage within a unionized sector. Effective leadership abilities combined with a strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve common goals. Ability to plan, organize, and manage short- and long-term plans and projects and deliver customer-focused results. Ability to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees, and other partners.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of management and leadership courses related to imaging services in service planning, workflow, budget, technology, communication, research, education, policies, and procedures. Computer Software Applications: Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Windows.
