Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Possession of a valid driver's licence. Power Engineer 5th Class Certificate required where boiler support is necessary.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must be able to communicate with coworkers, staff and clientele in a respectful and courteous manner at all times. Demonstration of CARES values. Must be able to communicate clearly in English, verbally and in writing. Understanding and experience with both hand tools and power tools is required. Must be able to work in a hospital environment and work around traumatic events that occur in a hospital setting.
Preferred Qualifications:Grade 12 Diploma. Apprentice in registered trade will be an asset. Able to organize workloads and ensure duties are completed in a timely manner. Experience with renovations, steel stud construction, drywall installation and drywall / plaster wall repairs would be an asset. Experience with water release / remediation and hoarding would be an asset. Prior previous experience as a Carpenter’s Helper or a Plasterer’s Helper desirable.
