Required Qualifications:

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Resonance Imaging (MRI) Program required or completion of certificate from an accredited MRI Technologist program plus a diploma from an accredited Program in Medical Radiology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound), Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy. Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Member in good standing and current registration/eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Ability to work confidently, independently, and within collaborative partnerships/teams. Strong organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaison with various professionals. Perception, initiative, accountability, good judgment, and concern for detail and accuracy. Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff, and physicians. Ability to work under pressure and in emergencies. Ability to effectively communicate in English required. Practices effective infection control and MRI safety techniques as applicable

Preferred Qualifications:

Successful completion of CAMRT registry exam in MRI. ACMDTT enhanced practice for Venipuncture and Medication Administration. Min 2 years' experience at an acute care site. Connect Care trained.
