Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Machinist or Millwright Certificate from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.
Additional Required Qualifications:Above and/ or Technical training in engineering technology, machining, fabrication, or related trade. Technical diploma or trade certification. Provide evidence of creative mechanical design to solve a problem. Demonstrated experience working with CAD software. Demonstrated hands-on experience through personal projects, working in a trade, or a shop environment. Must have very strong organizational, project management, communication and interpersonal skills. A high degree of initiative and good judgment. The ability to work members of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Knowledge and experience with working safely in a shop or lab environment.
Preferred Qualifications:3D printing experience, CAD, CAM, robotics, 3D scanning, fabrication, CNC machining, working with composites such as carbon fiber, fiberglass or Kevlar, welding/fabrication, woodworking or plastics.
