Your Opportunity:
As a member of the Allied Health & Patient Experience team within Recreation Facilities, the Casual Lifeguard will support a variety of aquatic programs, as well as maintain overall inventory of equipment and supplies within recreation facilities and across the site at AHE. The successful candidate will provide a safe and engaging atmosphere based upon recovery orientated care principles for patients within the Adult Acute, Young Adult Services, Forensics, and Rehabilitations Services at AHE.
Description:
As a Lifeguard, you are responsible for the safety, security and well-being of patients while in the Recreation Facilities area. You will plan, prepare and implement aquatic activities and treatment interventions with other care providers with a commitment to patient and family centred care and customer service. You will also be responsible for overall maintenance of the Recreation Facilities and the equipment within the department.

Completion of Grade 12. Completion of an accredited Lifeguarding certification. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Preferred Qualifications:Experience working with individuals with addictions and mental health concerns. Strong patient and family centered approach. Ability to work within a collaborative team environment. Demonstration of punctuality, dependability and attendance record verifiable by references.
