Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Certification in IV therapy required. Experience with Direct IV required. Recent three years acute care experience required including experience in the areas of medicine and surgery. Experience with PICC’s required. Ability to function independently and within a team environment required. Strong leadership, excellent communication and decision making skills required. Intermediate computer skills required. Physical ability to bend, kneel, crouch, overhead lifting and to transfer, reposition sedated patients required. Ability to transfer and move patients using equipment including stretchers, beds, wheelchairs, lifts, and transfer sheets is required. Demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in an Outpatient IV Therapy Clinic preferred. E-clinician or EMR experience preferred.
