In this role, you’ll work to the full scope of your practice within a multidisciplinary team, delivering patient and family-centered care while utilizing evidence-based practices. This is a rural hospital so your care will be provided to a variety of clients that could be dealing with urgent care needs, post-surgical recovery, pediatrics, maternity and the facility also has a Stoke Centre. Your strong organizational and critical thinking skills will be used daily as you provide wholistic care to the clients. We are looking for someone who is a strong problem solver and decision maker to assess, plan and evaluate care interventions. You believe in engaging patients and families in their care, promoting the clients’ health while delivering safe, quality care and modeling Alberta Health Services values. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Day Surgery experience, as required.
Preferred Qualifications:Labor and delivery experience, training in obstetrics, Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) is an asset but not required; training in NRP is to be expected and is offered on site. Cross training to other nursing departments within CLHCC may be necessary.
