Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrates commitment to patient and family centered care. Ability to multitask and care for acutely ill and unstable patients. Critical thinking and ability to manage unpredictable situations. Hemodynamics monitoring, arrhythmia interpretation, physical assessments, and aseptic techniques. Certification in IV initiation, direct IV medication, CVC, PICC lines, blood glucose and procedural sedation. Must be a team player, adaptable and flexible and the ability to jump in and help at all times. Experience coordinating services for patient movement through sites and zones for procedures. Supporting patients from all socio-economic high-risk demographics with compassion and respect. Working all required shift patterns. Must be able to complete all components of the job including OHS/WHS requirements of pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting 50lb. This position supports the radiologists in interventional ultrasound procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated proficiency in organizational, interpersonal, communication, and computer skills. Displayed ability to assume personal responsibility and work effectively within a team environment while showing initiative, judgement and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations. Keen interest in professional growth and proven track record of professionalism with patients.
