Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Basic computer and email skills required. Experience working within an acute care practice setting within the last year required or a recent graduation from a recognized nursing school within the last year. Other key competencies for this role include: Interpersonal, organizational and assessment skills. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with the interdisciplinary team. Ability to work independently while maintain collaboration with team members. Ability to adapt quickly to changing and fluctuating workloads and work conditions. Accountability, critical thinking, time management and communication skills. Ability to respond to new needs in the role as they arise, with initiative and self-direction.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in a casual or float position preferred. Experience working within the CoACT framework preferred. Order Processing and Transcription experience preferred. IV Certification preferred. Ventilator skills preferred.
