Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Demonstrates commitment to patient and family centered care. Ability to multitask and care for acutely ill and unstable patients. Critical thinking and ability to manage unpredictable situations. Hemodynamic monitoring, arrhythmia interpretation, physical assessments, and aseptic techniques. Certification in IV initiation, direct IV medication, CVC, PICC lines, blood glucose, procedural sedation and experience with GA. Must be a team player, adaptable and flexible and the ability to jump in and help at all times. Experience coordinating services for patient movement through sites and zones for procedures. Must be able to complete all components of the job including OHS/WHS requirements of push, pulling, bending, and lifting 50 lb. Supporting patients from all socio-economic high-risk demographics with compassion and respect. Working all required shift patterns.
