Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

You will be physically capable of carrying out duties of this position. This is physically demanding position that requires the RN/RPN to assist with ADL’s including toileting, bathing, dressing, transferring, re-positioning, escorting patients to and from programs, managing behavioural patients as a result of their brain injury among other duties. Complex moderate to severe brain injury patients may be very dependent at time for care needs. Leadership, observation and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a psychiatric/rehabilitation setting are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

You have a strong clinical background and are familiar with the management of Enteral feeds, indwelling catheters, diabetic management, greater than 6 months experience with Neurological patients or experience with brain injury rehabilitation is an asset.
