Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Must have successfully completed the Immunization Competency as outlined by the CLPNA's Competency Profile for Licensed Practical Nurses, 5th Edition (2020). Possess a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle in good repair for work-related travel. Must be able to do chest compressions and be able to lift 15kg.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in Public Health or Home Care. Minimum of two years current nursing experience with one year in a community based setting preferred. One (1) years’ experience with electronic charting (i.e Meditech). Successfully completed the CLPNA Clinical Competency in Public Health and Clinic Nursing (R-3)
