Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Completion of a post-basic Medication Administration Course for LPN’s. Handling, moving and lifting heavy or awkward equipment and/or individuals are required. Ability to perform all work related duties in accordance with regulated legislature.
Preferred Qualifications:Recent work experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Minimum of two years current nursing experience with one year in a community based setting preferred. A keen interest in wound care and a willingness to acquire expertise through education and training. A team player with excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
