Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Experience working as a LPN on an acute medical inpatient unit within the last 2 years. Consideration will be given to new graduates who have completed a final practicum on an acute medical inpatient unit. Ability to manage the job classification of “heavy physical demand” level as per the AHS Job Demands Summary
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 1 year acute medical inpatient experience within the last 2 years. CVC certification. Chest tube care and management. Experience working with patients with Dementia N95 fit tested. It’s Your Move certified. Completion of Non Violent Crisis Intervention Course Proficient with SCM and clinical documentation standards.
