Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) or Master of Library Science (MLS) from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution is required. Proficiency in information technology and computer applications used in libraries. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, effectively managing & setting priorities when faced with multiple tasks & deadlines. Ability to build and maintain relationships in a remote environment & communicate effectively using online tools. Demonstrates flexibility, initiative & high degree of organizational skill, accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively in a professional & service-oriented manner. Ability to work effectively both independently & within a team. Ability to effectively manage & set priorities when faced with multiple tasks & deadlines.
Additional Required Qualifications:Ability to resolve conflict in a timely & professional manner. Ability to follow and adhere to Alberta Health Services policies, procedures, goals & objectives. Ability to safeguard Alberta Health Services information as private & confidential. Effective time management & multi-tasking abilities. Ability to create and document work flows & processes. Ability to solve complex problems that fall outside of standard procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:A minimum of two years of direct professional experience in a health sciences library & knowledge of evidence literacy is preferred. An undergraduate degree in health sciences or life sciences would be advantageous.
