Required Qualifications:

Member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta. At least five years of experience as a litigator. Experience appearing at all levels of Court in Alberta and appearing before quasi-judicial tribunals. Experience with arbitration, judicial review and other court applications. Experience with commercial litigation, such as contract disputes, builders’ lien matters and procurement litigation. Strong knowledge of administrative law, the Rules of Court and rules of evidence. Excellent advocacy, communication, and organization skills. Motivated to learn, independent, self-starter. Adaptable and flexible. Proven ability to perform well in complex matters, prioritize and deal with multiple assignments, all under significant time and other pressures. Proven ability to work in collaboration with senior management. Strong commitment to operating within a team environment and the ability to work with others to achieve common goals. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders to respond to requests and relay information. Ability to travel throughout the Province of Alberta on short notice.
