Your Opportunity:
The Director, CPSM Support Services, South Zone, is a leadership role that reports directly to the Senior Provincial Director, Contracting, Procurement, and Supply Management (CPSM). This position ensures that AHS organizational values, goals, policy, and principles are implemented and integrated with the delivery of CPSM Support Services to Zone customer groups. This position will be required to provide leadership in coordinating and delivering CPSM services within the Zone. The Director, CPSM Support Services, South Zone, will build and maintain partnerships to advance the integration of CPSM service initiatives while providing long-term sustainable outcomes to staff and clinicians. The Director, CPSM Support Services, South Zone, requires expert judgment and experience to provide advice and direction to customers within an assigned zone on the functions provided by CPSM to AHS while at the same time developing and improving CPSM Support Service's best practices as a whole. The Director, CPSM Support Services, South Zone, provides leadership to the diverse embedded services provided by CPSM Support Services within each Zone. The delivery of CPSM Support Services to support the day-to-day operations of the Zone and to enable the achievement of Zone strategies and initiatives. The successful incumbent to be located in Lethbridge or surrounding community. Required to be on site daily.
Description:
This position is responsible for management and coordination of CPSM Support services throughout the Zone to all hospitals, homecare, public health, and continuing care centers to ensure that the right product is at the right location at the right time to support quality patient care within AHS and all associated organizations. Challenges include, but are not limited to, constant vigilance regarding evolving provincial stakeholder best practices, frameworks, policies, and business plans while ensuring CPSM service delivery model is in line with these.

A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Management Degree and with a minimum of five (5) years healthcare experience in a leadership role. Minimum 5 years experience in a supply chain role. Demonstrated ability to advance strategic initiatives and manage people and budgets. Superior interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and leadership skills. Ability to set and accomplish objectives and manage expectations. Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for innovative, progressive thought. Proven ability to foster a collaborative, team approach to decision making. Capability to negotiate sustainable solutions that encompass zone needs while being able to tactfully mediate solutions to complex stakeholder concerns at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
Additional Required Qualifications:
MS Office, Excel, Word, Outlook. Incident Command Systems 100 & 200.
Preferred Qualifications:
Post secondary management courses. Supply chain certifications. Human resources experience. Project management experience. Oracle Business Suite.
