Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Evidence of the appropriate CSMLS certification required. In addition, the ability to organize and prioritize tasks while adapting to changing circumstances and interruptions is essential. You must have the ability to listen, comprehend and orally respond to or relay information, directions or questions in person, over the phone or in writing, in an accurate, clear and concise manner. The successful candidate will adapt to, and become competent operating new and upgraded analytical equipment; understanding new chemistry methodologies and working with upgraded computer software programs. You must be an approachable, flexible and tactful team member contributing to a positive work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum 2 years experience in a chemistry laboratory is preferred, with experience in a high volume chemistry lab an asset. Knowledge of the Sunquest laboratory information system, operating, maintaining and troubleshooting high volume chemistry equipment, quality system, quality control theory and application is preferred.
