Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Please be advised this posting may be used to fill multiple identical vacancies arising as a result of the administration of the Trial of Modified Posting Provisions.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Active practice permit with the CRNA, CLPNA or CRPNA. Experience working with and understanding the role of HCAs. Required: A minimum of 1 year of experience in a CNE or HCA tutor role with experience in educational content creation. Knowledge of Alberta Health HCA curriculum, competency profile and competency assessment process. A demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development. Expertise inrecords management, organizing, storing and archiving documentation. Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to coordinate interests and prioritize competing needs of multiple stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to think and act on a zone and provincial scope. Leadership skills including coordinating, acting as a resource, project reporting and implementing change. Ability to adapt to complex situations and unanticipated changes, balance and prioritize a healthy workload. Understand political sensitivities and interests of multiple stakeholders. Ability to work as part of a virtual team. Understanding of the collaborative care model. Excellent professional, written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Education/training in: quality improvement, change management, data collection, analysis and presentation. Possess excellent critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills. Extensive provincial travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Continuing education / advanced degree (i.e., MSc) in Nursing, adult education, or related field. Extensive provincial travel is required.
