Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Strong understanding of Seniors Health business operations, processes and policies in Home Care and/or Long Term Care. Minimum of 5 years of recent seniors’ health experience required. Current CARNA registration as and RN in good standing. Must have working knowledge of the interRAI instruments currently in use within Seniors Health; interRAI-CA, RAI-HC and or RAI-2.0. Ability to present clinical data and educate adult learners. Excellent attendance record. The successful applicant will be creative, motivated and demonstrates initiative and a progressive record of leadership. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position. Must be able to work independently and within a virtual team.
Preferred Qualifications:Baccalaureate degree preferred, Masters preparation an asset. Must have working knowledge of MEDITECH and Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel an asset); knowledge and experience of other software is an asset. Knowledge and use of applications for virtual meetings or webinar sessions that enables distance learning and support an asset (i.e. Microsoft Skype, Zoom). Past data review experience an asset. Past educator/instructor experience preferred.
