Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:As a Registered Nurse in Alberta, the CNE is responsible and accountable for their nursing practice as defined by their regulatory College. Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required. Certification as appropriate/required for the specialty area. BLS-C (Basic Rescuer) required. Minimum of 3 -5 years Clinical nursing experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:The incumbent will also have strong: Teaching and coaching skills; Written and verbal communication skills; Research skills to identify information sources and provide current, accurate information Additionally, the incumbent must be: Self-directed, self-motivated; Flexible and adaptable; Able to prioritize work and have projects/work completed in a timely manner.
