If you are an experienced, results oriented clinical educator seeking a new challenge, this position is for you! As an Instructor - Clinical Nurse Educator, Associate Chief Nursing Office, you will use principles of adult learning to assess, plan, implement and evaluate education and development needs of staff. The incumbent facilitates, coordinates and supports the implementation of educational initiatives for in-service/continuing education. Other duties include promoting and reporting on the clinical competence of staff and supporting nursing staff, Internationally Educated Nurses, new grads and other clinical staff with orientation and skill training. Creates individualized learning plans.
Description:
As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of clinical education experience required. Med/Surg and Emergency experience. Must be able to travel provincially. Must have valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous teaching experience an asset. Masters of Nursing or Education preferred. Proficiency in technical and informatics experience. Experience in transitioning Internationally Educated Nurses. Change Management training (ie. Prosci).
