Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications:Baccalaureate in Nursing required. 3-5 years recent experience in clinical service area required. Current unrestricted practice permit with CRNA. Demonstrated teaching and leadership skills, including coaching and conflict management skills. Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation). Strong computer skills. Creative, motivated, enthusiastic, effective role model. Ability to use principles of time management and effective problem solving. Ability to network and develop working relationships with local and provincial counterparts to share information, best practices and suggestions to overcome barriers. Knowledge of organizational processes and multidisciplinary collaborative service delivery methods. Knowledge of principles of quality improvement. Ability to flex work schedule, including evening/night shift and extended hours.
Preferred Qualifications:CNA certification in specified clinical service area an asset. Courses in adult education from an accredited college or university an asset. Specialty level certification an asset (e.g. NRP, ACORN, ACLS, Periop, etc.).
