Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:3-5 years acute care pediatric clinical experience, previous teaching experience with adult learners. Preference will be given to those applicants who have previous clinical nurse educator experience in acute care pediatric settings.
Preferred Qualifications:Completion of PALS is an asset, and completion of a Masters’ degree in Nursing (with a focus in teaching, and/or leadership) or similar graduate program is desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently and effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting, will have integrated family-centered care into their nursing practice, and will have excellent collaboration, communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills.
