Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Qualifications:Bachelor Degree Nursing CSGNA IBD Nurse Fellowship CGN (C) Certified BGM Procedural Sedation Module It's your move Emergency response codes Minimum 5 years current Endoscopy Nurse experience Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 20 kg on a regular basis.
Preferred Qualifications:Current knowledge of IBD treatments and procedures. Abililty to work in a multidisciplinary setting as well as be self directed. Excellent physical assessment skills. Keep current with new and upcoming research information related to IBD Current knowledge of specially funded medication programs (STEDT program, etc) Knowledge and experience with specialty endoscopy procedures (ERCP, EUS, EBUS, etc.)
