Completion of diploma from an accredited Health Information Management Professional (HIMP) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate of recognized Health Information Management degree, diploma, or certificate program Medical Terminology course.
Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years work experience in the field of medical data collection for a medical registry within the last 5 years Working knowledge of ICD-9-CA/ICD-10-CA Advanced certification of Microsoft Office (ACCESS, Excel, Word etc.). Working knowledge of Abbreviated Injury Scoring (AIS). Certified Abbreviated Injury Severity Specialist (CAISS).
