Completion of diploma from an accredited Health Information Management Professional (HIMP) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA).
Additional Required Qualifications:Minimum 3 years’ experience in a coordination role in oncology (cancer care). Must be familiar with Cancer Control Alberta (CCA) programs. Must be proficient in the use of the CCA EMR (Aria), particularly scheduling skills. Must be familiar with accessing preprint/chemotherapy protocols in CCA. Must be familiar with CCA organizational infrastructure and how to triage complex issues and seek out expertise as required. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills (including telephone manner), problem solving ability, and critical thinking skills. Must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment. Expected to participate in ongoing learning and development specific to oncology.
