Additional Required Qualifications:Graduate from an approved educational program OR must complete a pre-service manual during orientation and agree to enroll in an AHS recognized HCA certification program within 60 days of start date and complete within 18 months. A Nursing Attendant, currently employed within the region, must be a graduate from an approved educational program OR be assessed, relative to client needs, as having competency (knowledge, skills, behaviours and attitudes) compatible with the competencies outlined in the Alberta Provincial Curriculum for Health Care Aides. Recent experience plus ability to communicate effectively with the client population being served. Able to perform duties that involve periods of physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting weights up to 25 kg. Basic Life Support for Health care Providers Level C (as per unit requirements).
