Required Qualifications:

Post secondary education in Law Enforcement, Police Management, Security & Asset Protection, Healthcare, Humanities, or Business Administration. A minimum of 10 years progressive senior management experience in, healthcare security, security industry, policing or law enforcement in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Experience working in complex, public sector organizations with a wide variety of stakeholders and inter-dependent programs, with a focus on client relations and customer service. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Possess strong leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Team building skills and ability to effectively direct and manage staff within a large, diverse organization. Excellent communication skills while working at a senior management level, with the ability to establish positive and mutually beneficial relationships and a climate of cooperation among public agencies, government, boards, committees and other partners to achieve organizational goals. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans in a large organization. Must be able to establish and adjust priorities in accordance with competing demands and complex issues, as well as be able to achieve results by managing outcomes using a variety of service delivery methods and resources. Can effectively assess and manage risk while implementing innovative solutions. Must have effective organizational and change management skills with a strong client-focused lens.


Preferred Qualifications:

Healthcare experience. Experience working in partnership with physicians and medical leaders. Ability to manage diverse human, financial and physical resources within a complex, unionized environment. Demonstrated clear pattern of personal and professional development in the areas of leadership, management and executive development. Evidence of leadership development and/or industry training/certifications within the past two years is an asset.
